Built on a connected foundation

The platform is a Java enterprise application written in Grails 6 and hosted on AWS, with replicated sites in different countries for disaster recovery. Containerized internal API services tie the booking and operations modules to the same code base.

Booking to boarding

Bookings move through confirmation, check-in and boarding passes. Passengers and baggage are reconciled before boarding, and cancellation history is kept for security and traceability.

Flight documentation

Once a flight is closed it cannot be reopened. Final passenger forms and flight plans are produced as downloadable PDFs, leaving a definitive record.

Operational accountability

A detailed permission model, effective-dated historical transactions and records of user actions give you a full audit trail.

Aircraft and maintenance

Aircraft hours and maintenance history are logged, with service reminders one month and two weeks before work is due.

Crew time and training

Biometric time capture tracks pilot hours, working time, absences and holidays. Training records note the date, course type and provider.

EclipsoTech began with a practical business problem: airlines of every size need modern, connected technology to run their operations.

Founders Karen and John Hollis saw a gap between booking systems and day-to-day operational management, and set out to build a cloud platform that joins the two.

He then produced another product for synthesisers called TrackMan, built the distribution and sold it. From there he became involved with Java Enterprise Cloud Applications architecting and building business applications in insurance, financial services and payroll with Karen.
